Safe Environment Program

The Diocese of Sioux Falls requires all adults and minors who are active in a diocesan organization to complete a safe environment program that teaches how to recognize and report abuse, and how to maintain proper boundaries.

All employees or volunteers 18 years of age or older who has ongoing, unsupervised contact with minors (and/or anyone who attends an overnight event with minors) or vulnerable adults must comply with the Safe Environment requirements of the Diocese.

BEGIN TRAINING: New Volunteers and Employees

To begin your Safe Environment Training, you must complete the following steps:

  • Create a login account on CMG (Catholic Mutual Group) Connect CMG Connect Safe Environment Training

  • Complete all curriculums listed under the Required Trainings heading, including background check

  • Members driving students to events must complete the Driving Training

  • Logout


RENEW TRAINING: Returning Volunteers and Employees

  • Login to your previous CMG Connect account. CMG Connect Safe Environment Training

  • If you forgot your username and/or password, contact the office at 605-763-2028. Do Not Create a new account.

  • Complete all curriculums listed under the Required Training heading.

    • Safe Environment Training expires June 30 and must be renewed every year beginning on July 1.

    • Background check must be renewed every 6 years.

  • Go to Edit Profile to update your contact information.

  • Logout
